Villa Escudero
-a plantation and a resort in on the border of Tiaong, Quezon, and San Pablo City, Laguna, which the famous Waterfalls Restaurant is located (well, it's really the reason why we went to this place).
and it's a 1400 worth experience!
the waterfall restaurant, eating while your feet soaks in water |
They do serve Filipino cuisines |
Me, my brother and his girlfriend took this trip November 26, 2016
(so basically I'm a third wheel, haha!)
At the main entrance |
We traveled from Manila via Jac Liner bus at around 4 am and got down the bus after 2 1/2 hours, rode a tricycle to reach the main entrance since its about a half kilometer fom the highway. Registered at 1400 php per head. Either choose to ride the carabao or a motorized vehicle on your tour. We chose the carabao carts.
From there, you can see these scenic gardens:
Our first stop, this old Spanish-style Escudero ancestral house:
Just a few walks away. the Escudero Private Museum (one of the largest museums in the country) but no picture taking allowed inside so I only have outside photos of the building which at first I thought was a church but it's a museum.
Thereafter, we rode the carabao cart again going to the resort and waterfalls. When we got there, a mini garden and playpen were available in view.
There was a lady at the back singing a kundiman while a guitar is being played by manong |
We were welcomed by some ladies wearing Filipino costumes ( I dont have a photo). Told us to change to our swim wear if we want to go swimming or bamboo rafting.
Of course, I'd like to try bamboo rafting first!!
After rafting, swimming at the pools..... :)
After rafting and swimming, it's lunch time so we proceeded to Labasin Waterfalls Restaurant where traditional Filipino buffet lunch were served. Kamayan style and eat-all-you can buffet. Enjoying the food while soaking your feet in the shallow running water.
At around 2pm, a presentation was held by Philippine Experience Show wherein they showcase the country’s rich culture that has been preserved by traditional dances and music.
