January 15, 2017 - the start of something new, something unexpected from two people who knew each other before then but it didn't occur that something might come up and turn our worlds closer until we no longer can keep up with the emotions. We finished the trail together and hopefully, not just this mountain but the world out there.
Started off Brgy. Ampucao and a few minutes of our start saw this little house.

I just find the place amazing! I never knew such place existed until I was brought here. A monastery situated on top of the mountain that has a great panoramic view of Tarlac. It is a place closer to nature, closer to God.
Also known as Mt. Jumbo
-Famously known as the little mount Pulag of La Trinidad. A top was a grassland and a grand view of the whole valley, a perfect place for camping, picnic and the likes. Trek, relax and be awed.
There no need for a guide, its a find-your-own-way kind of hike but there's an environmental fee collected by the Barangay. It's just about or less than an hour hike from the cemented road but depends on your pace of course.

1. I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn’t work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

While on our way home from Baguio to Ifugao, we passed by this beautiful lake along the road and had to stop to take some photos. It was a breath-taking view and the wind that touch your skin is just soothingly cold you may want to spend more time and just think about life and anything under the sun.
This is one of the best routes when you're on a road trip and it is just an hour and half from Baguio City. But the road might be quite nauseating for some since the highways were made at the sides of the mountain so either you go a 360-degree curves or go up and down or left and right routes. So drivers must be careful.
You'll see hanging bridges as well aside from the scenic mountain views just outside your windows.
I don't mind being single. I don't mind not having a commitment. I don't mind not having a wedding ring to meddle my finger with.
But sometimes, I just want someone to hold my pieces tight when i'm about to fall apart, someone to hold my hands gently when i'm scared, someone to share my fears and wildest dreams with.
I don't mind being alone, but there's a part of me that wonders how nice it must feel to have someone who shows you that love isn't such a bad thing.
It is not being on my own that is so scary, having someone is a
good thing but the realization that someone you thought was yours wasn’t and
you are actually on your own. After all, the process is something I am afraid
to feel and the emotions that comes along with it.
I am not afraid of being myself, it’s the thought of not being
accepted of what I am and trying to change me to someone I’m not. I don’t work
that way.
There are still women currently in their mid-20s who are afraid of commitment.
They are still at a stage where they just want to grab opportunities for
introspective and adventurous experiences of singledom. They do have a backpack
of alibis or reasons why they still stay single but bottom line, they feel they
are not ready yet and worse, afraid of being “tied down”. Some would even avoid
it completely because the mere idea of being with someone forever scares them.
1. Real love makes us feel vulnerable. A new relationship is uncharted territory, and most of us have natural fears of the unknown. Letting ourselves fall in love means taking a real risk. We are placing a great amount of trust in another person, allowing them to affect us, which makes us feel exposed and vulnerable. Our core defenses are challenged. Any habits we’ve long had that allow us to feel self-focused or self-contained start to fall by the wayside. We tend to believe that the more we care, the more we can get hurt.
Banaue Rice Terraces — an iconic and ancient landscape of the Philippines that is said to be the greatest engineering masterpiece of the indigenous people in Ifugao.
Having been raised in the mountains of the Cordillera, I grew up knowing why I should be proud of being an Ifugao is our man-made terraces built thousand years ago by our ancestors and stood still to this moment and is popular among traveler and adventure-seekers locally and abroad.
I am a Cordilleran. I am proud to be one. I will talk about my culture with pride. I may not dance to the rhythm of the gongs with grace nor sing the song of our land in harmony, but I am forever proud of it. I will speak our tongue anyway I want and let them be amused because really, our culture is something quite fascinating, captivating and enthralling.
Situated at the heart of the Cordillera Mountains and a renown UNESCO World Heritage Site, you may want to visit Batad, a small village in Banaue, Ifugao and perhaps where once can see the best views of the centuries-old rice terraces, aside of course the view seen in Banaue proper itself.

A Batad adventure wont be complete if you wouldn't visit Tappiya Falls, a 32-feet water falls hidden at the foot of the mountain. Though it is quite a difficult trail but once you get there, it will be a rewarding experience. If going down is hard, going back is harder. :)
A peek to our roots. Went to Batad through Saddle point then exiting through Bangaan trail. Hiking for a few hours passing through hills, terraces and falls that took us about 4-5 hours. I enjoyed most of it of course except the tiring part of the hike.
